Privacy Policy

Stronger Softworks (“we”) builds and hosts websites for organizations in Canada. This policy explains how we handle personal information on this website and in the website platform we run for our clients. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada’s federal private-sector privacy law.

Information we collect

  • When you contact us: your name, email address, and message, so we can reply.
  • When you visit this site: cookieless visit statistics (pages viewed, referring site, device and browser type, approximate city). We do not store your IP address; it is combined into a one-way code that changes daily.
  • When you are a client or a client’s staff: your name, email address, and sign-in details (through Google or an emailed sign-in link) for the dashboard, plus records of changes you make, for security and support.
  • Billing: the contact and invoicing details needed to bill our clients.

Information we host for our clients

Our clients’ websites collect information from their own visitors, such as contact messages, form responses, guest sign-ins, reviews, and email subscriptions. Each client controls that information and is responsible for it under its own privacy policy. We store and process it only on the client’s instructions, to provide our service, and we never use it for our own purposes. To make a request about that information, contact the organization whose website you used.

How we use information

We use personal information to reply to you, provide and secure our service, bill our clients, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers to run our service: Cloudflare (network, security, spam protection, and email delivery), Neon (database hosting), and Google Cloud (hosting and Google sign-in). They may store or process information outside Canada, where it may be accessible to the courts and authorities of those countries. We require them to protect it and to use it only to provide their services to us.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed for the site to work, such as keeping you signed in and protecting forms from spam. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Security and retention

Information is encrypted in transit, access is limited to the people who need it, and each client’s data is kept separate from every other client’s. We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as the law requires, then delete it. When a client leaves, we delete their site’s data within a reasonable time.

Breaches

If a breach of security creates a real risk of significant harm, we notify the affected clients and people, and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as the law requires.

Your rights

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent and ask us to delete it. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your provincial privacy commissioner.
